I am a woman, the protector of man and also, at times, who feels the desire to be protected, by a man. I am the one who is protecting and also, the one who is being protected because all of us—whether we are male, female or belong to the LGBTQIA+ community—have an innate desire, which may be occasional and circumstantial, to feel protected—physically, mentally or emotionally. The existence of community proves this. If nothing, we desire to feel protected from our self-doubts and require a basic sense of validation, which we find in community. Well, then community is a also a source of protection, isn’t it? There are also situations where people are tired of protecting and being protected, so why to obligate yourself?
