I am here in Hauz Khas. I never thought that I will actually be able to visit it some day. I came here all by myself due to the preoccupation of my friend. The battery of my cell has exhausted. Fortunately, I know my way back to my parents’ home and wait…..let me check….yes, I do have enough money to return.
Take me to my home,
to where I belong.
It has been so long
since I felt like I am at my home.
You are much awaited. Though, surely, I will not lie on the floor and spread myself out for you to come and walk over me but there is a space in my heart and in my life only designed for you to come and make yourself comfortable.
No matter wherever I go, I’ll come back to you. You are my home. There’s a comfort in your existence. I believe in you. I believe in myself when I don’t want to because you believe in me. You have become an indirect source of power and positivity for me.
I’ll wait. For the moment when you’ll heal, I’ll wait. Till the minute you would regain your trust and faith on love and your innocent self, I’ll wait. For the day when that sad, dull corner of your heart would be filled again with vibrancy, I’ll wait.
Oh! free wanderer soul
it’s time to go home now,
to set aside all the adventures
and not think where, what and how.
Home—a place we belong to. Where our families stay and belong to. Our ancestors, basically. Also, a place where the people who live there are connected with us. A place where we return after the worldly affairs tire us.
I can’t promise you anything. I can only try. I can try to be as honest as possible. I can try to make you feel happy and that special as I believe you are. I can try to be a member of your family and to make you a member of mine. I can try to ward off the negative in me so that it can’t affect your positive.
