Home—a place we belong to. Where our families stay and belong to. Our ancestors, basically. Also, a place where the people who live there are connected with us. A place where we return after the worldly affairs tire us.
My father and brother never appreciate most of the work I do. My brother associates development with economy and father always wishes for the impossible. When it is about studies, he wishes I should score excellent marks in all the subjects. Being an above average student in academics, it’s not practically possible for my distracted mind and weak memory to concentrate equally and give the best results in everything I put my head into. I don’t possess academic but verbal or linguistic and musical or rhythmic intelligence among the ten types of intelligences explained by Howard Gardener.
The people who meet me after a while in my life almost always remark that ”you’ve changed a lot.” The elders usually refer the growth to my physical aspects such as height and build while those cotaneous find my speech to be filled with more maturity and understanding.
I write a lot between the dates when my exams are scheduled. That’s because I don’t rush after the marks, but the values that the plot provides to me as a reader. Also, the values highlighted in the plots of various novels and stories through their characters are to be much focused upon by the students to provide a critical analysis of the plot. The background of the author or the poet, too, is equally important to understand their psyche and the background of the written text in the most accurate meanings. Therefore, they inculcate, directly or indirectly, some important values within us— the readers, to lead a dignified and happy life and enlighten to us the process and history of development.
