The food isn’t good or bad. The effect and the amount of consumption is.
Don’t throw yourself into health routines when you don’t feel good from inside. Some routines positively affect you faster, some a little later and some never at all. That doesn’t mean that there is a flaw in you. Don’t base everything on a routine. Everyone is not meant to follow routines nor are all the routines made for everyone. Many of these famous routines may not even be updated so we need to make the changes as and whe necessary. You don’t need to hate your body to bring a change in it.
Keeping a check on your inner being is necessary because families and even many doctors inject and feed on to unhealthy food practices which are instilled with unhealthy mindset. Don’t listen to them. Find the ones with healthy mindset. It’s difficult but it is important. What you feel inside is important, regardless of the scales and reports and especially, temporary “trends” on social media. What the “experts” have to say also comes after your inner being. Remember, research in the health industry is still going on. What information we have derived by now may be incomplete as of yet, with many more novel points to be added, removed and altered in it.
Important points to consider are:
- Did you feel good from within?
- Did you have fun?
- Did you enjoy?
- Were you not pushed towards something that has the potential to be harmful for you in the future when you were following the routine?
If you are happy following something healthy, then only does it become completely healthy to you, not just the amount of calories burnt and the months of cardio or HIIT done. When you follow any health routine, regardless of how much does it impact your health reports, ask yourself:
- How does this make me feel?
- Is it instilling in me any positive or negative feelings and thoughts towards me and my aspects?
- Is it a habit or is it getting to the point of obsession where if I don’t do it, I feel like I am not good or worthy enough?
- How does not being able to hit my daily goal make me feel?
If it doesn’t make you feel good, change something in it so it leaves a positive impact on you. It should not just be healthy for the trend, it should be healthy for and to you. The results and reports are not as important as what you feel inside is. Don’t base your permanent joy on something that can be changed so easily.
If you don’t feel good about consuming any food, even in balanced amounts, think about what’s cooking. Maybe, it’s not something in the utensils but in you. What is bothering you that you are unable to relish your favourite food?
